Ceiling Lifts
Handicare C-Series Ceiling Lift — C-450 & C-625
A fixed overhead ceiling lift that lets one caregiver move a loved one between bed, chair, bathroom and wheelchair without lifting by hand. Choose 450 lb or 625 lb of capacity.
The C-Series rides on a track fixed to the ceiling, so it’s always in place and one caregiver can manage a transfer — bed to chair, chair to bathroom, and back — without lifting by hand. There are two sizes: the C-450 carries 450 pounds and is the smallest lift in its class, and the C-625 carries 625 pounds while staying compact and quiet. Both share the same hand control, charger, and track, and both give up to 96 inches of lifting range plus at least 7 inches of extra lifting height for low ceilings or high beds. A 7.5-foot foot strap means a lift can start from the floor. A digital display shows battery level and lift status, and emergency power lowering and manual raising and lowering are built in.
Home Accessibility Solutions is a family-owned company, and the same factory-trained team that visits for your free consultation is the team that installs your ceiling lift system and services it for years afterward. Handicare patient handling is now part of Savaria Patient Care, so the C-Series is supported through the same Savaria network we work with every day. We’ll measure your rooms, listen to how you and your caregiver actually transfer, and give you a straight answer about which capacity and track layout you need.
Model overview
Why choose the Handicare C-Series
The C-Series is the ceiling lift we reach for when the same transfer has to happen several times a day — bed to chair, chair to bathroom, and back again — without anyone lifting by hand. The lift rides on a track fixed to the ceiling, so it is always in place, always in the same spot, and one caregiver can manage the whole transfer alone.
There are two sizes. The C-450 carries 450 lb and is the smallest lift in its class. The C-625 carries 625 lb and is still compact and quiet. Both share the same pneumatic hand control, the same charger and the same track, so the decision really comes down to how much capacity you need.
Both models give a lifting range of up to 96 inches and at least 7 inches of additional lifting height, which matters when a ceiling is low or a bed sits high. A 7.5 ft foot strap means a lift can begin from the floor — the situation families worry about most. A digital display shows battery level, lift status and the number of lifts performed, and both emergency power lowering and manual raising and lowering are built in.
Handicare patient handling is now part of Savaria Patient Care, so the C-Series is supported through the same Savaria network we already work with every day.

Options & upgrades
Ways to tailor the C-Series, and why you might want each one. Options are available at additional cost; we price them with your quote.
Power traversing
The lift moves along the track under power instead of being pulled by hand. Specified at the time of purchase, and worth it when the caregiver has limited strength or the track run is long.
XY traversing
Instead of one straight run, the lift travels across a grid of track so it can reach almost anywhere in the room — bed, chair and bathroom door on one system. Specified at the time of purchase.
Return to Charge
The lift parks itself at the charging point after a transfer, so it is charged and ready the next time somebody needs it. Available as an option on both models.
Load cell weighing
Savaria publishes a C-450 configuration with a built-in load cell, so the person can be weighed during the transfer instead of moving them to a scale.
Wi-Fi connectivity
The same configuration adds Wi-Fi, which puts lift usage data where a care team can actually look at it.
Track options
A fixed ceiling track is the usual answer, but Savaria Patient Care also publishes free-standing and pressure-fit track systems for rooms where a permanent ceiling mount is not possible — a rental, for example.

Warranty
Manufacturer warranty
Your C-450 or C-625 is covered by Savaria Patient Care’s warranty for the model and configuration you buy. Savaria does not publish a single term for the C-Series, so we put the exact coverage in writing with your quote rather than guessing at it here. One thing their owner’s manual is clear about: the warranty is void if anyone not authorised by Handicare works on the lift, so service should always go through a trained technician — which is us.
Our 6-month workmanship warranty
On top of the manufacturer’s warranty, everything we install carries a 6-month workmanship warranty. If the work was not done right, we come back and fix it at no cost to you — that includes any adjustments the installation turns out to need. The exception is an act of God or misuse. Clients typically allow 5 to 10 business days for a return trip, and it is usually sooner than that.
See whether a ceiling lift fits your room
Ceiling lifts depend on what is above the ceiling as much as what is in the room. We come out, look at the framing and the track run, and tell you straight whether the C-450 or the C-625 is the right call.
