Each unit above carries its manufacturer’s written warranty — terms vary by model, and we put the exact terms in your quote.
Every installation also carries our 6-month workmanship warranty, on top of the manufacturer’s warranty: if our work was not done right, we come back and fix it at no cost to you — as long as the issue was not an act of God or misuse of the machine.
Home Elevator Installation: What to Expect
Whether you want a compact home lift or a full home elevator, the installation follows the same path with us, and one licensed team handles every step:
- Free in-home visit or plan review. We measure, look at where the elevator can go and check your power.
- Pick the right type. Through-the-floor, shafted, glass, hydraulic or outdoor. We explain the trade-offs in plain English.
- Written quote and permits. You get a firm, written quote. We handle the elevator permit and coordinate the inspection.
- Site prep. A through-the-floor lift needs an opening in the floor. A shafted elevator needs a framed hoistway, a shallow pit and dedicated power, and we can frame the shaft and pour the pit ourselves.
- Installation by our own crew. A Savaria Eclipse typically installs in 5 to 7 days once the hoistway is ready, and a Savaria Vuelift Mini usually takes 4 to 5 days because it brings its own hoistway.
- Inspection, walkthrough and service. We show you how everything works, and the same team services the elevator afterward.
Home Lifts vs. Home Elevators: What’s the Difference?
People use the words for the same thing, but here is how we use them:
- A home lift usually means a compact through-the-floor elevator like the Stiltz Duo Alta or Trio Alta, the SHC EZ series or the Savaria Telecab. It travels through an opening in the floor, with no shaft, pit or machine room. Stiltz and SHC lifts run on battery power.
- A home elevator usually means a traditional shafted elevator, like the Savaria Eclipse or the Residential Elevators Luxury Lift. It rides in a framed hoistway with a door at each landing, and cabs run up to 15 square feet.
- A vertical platform lift is a different machine, built mainly to carry a wheelchair a short distance. Compare them in home elevator vs. vertical platform lift.
