Wheelchair Ramps
Rampit USA Wheelchair Ramps
Rampit USA has been building aluminum access ramps in Coldwater, Michigan since 1992, and the whole line is built around one idea: a ramp should go in fast, hold up outdoors for decades, and come back out without leaving a scar on your property. The frames are high-strength aluminum that will not rust or rot, they sit on adjustable legs and wide composite footpads instead of concrete footings, and every ramp and platform is enclosed by smooth, continuous handrails. Rampit is ISO 9001:2015 certified, and their residential aluminum components carry a lifetime manufacturer’s warranty.

Rampit organizes its ramps into four families, and the one you need is decided by your rise and how permanent the ramp has to be. The Independence Series is the residential modular system — all aluminum, built to your entry, and the line most of our Wichita-area clients end up with. The Integrity Series is the same aluminum frame with real pressure-treated wood decking and wood handrails, for a homeowner who wants the ramp to read as part of the house rather than as equipment. The United Series is the commercial version, with picketed guardrails and inner handrails for churches, offices and rental properties. The Empower Series covers everything that does not get installed: rubber threshold ramps for rises under two inches, bi-folding aluminum ramps for a step or two, and semi-portable curb ramps in between.
Home Accessibility Solutions is family-owned, and the same crew that measures your entry at the free consultation is the crew that sets the ramp, levels the legs, and comes back if anything needs adjusting. Rampit quotes a typical three-to-five-day build once an estimate is approved, so a straightforward residential ramp is usually measured one week and in use the next. If your porch height, landing size or door swing makes a ramp the wrong call, we will tell you that instead of selling you one.
Why choose Rampit USA ramps
American-made aluminum, built to order, and removable — with a lifetime warranty on the aluminum.

The case for aluminum over wood is maintenance, and in Kansas that case is easy to make. A wood ramp needs sealing, it cups and splinters, and the boards go slick when they get damp and mossy. Rampit’s aluminum will not rust or corrode, the walking surface is extruded tread with molded ridges for grip rather than paint or tape that wears off, and there is nothing to stain or reseal for the life of the ramp.
The second reason is that Rampit builds to your entry rather than to a catalog size. Lengths and widths are custom, sections join for runs longer than ten feet, platforms come standard or custom, and the support legs are height-adjustable so the ramp sits right on a sloped walk or an uneven yard. Handrails enclose every ramp and platform continuously, and self-adjusting transition plates plus two-inch wheel guards come standard rather than as add-ons.
And it comes back out. Because the system is modular and sits on wide composite footpads instead of poured footings, a Rampit ramp can be reconfigured if the need changes, relocated if you move, or removed entirely with no concrete to break up and no repair work to your porch or landing. That matters more than people expect — a ramp installed for a recovery is often not needed permanently.
One honest note on code. Rampit states the residential ramps are designed to meet ADA guidelines and their own incline calculator uses the ADA 1:12 standard — one foot of ramp for every inch of rise. That is a design intent, not a certification. The United Series is the line Rampit markets as engineered to meet ADA, OSHA, IBC and local building requirements, so if your project needs an inspector’s sign-off, that is the one we quote.

Installed modular ramps
Independence Series
The residential all-aluminum modular system, built to your entry. Continuous handrails, 2 in. wheel guards, adjustable legs, self-adjusting transition plates, lifetime warranty on the aluminum. The line most homeowners choose.
Integrity Series (W.A.R.)
The same aluminum structural frame, decked in pressure-treated wood with a pre-sealed slip-resistant coating and real wood handrails in three styles. Chosen for the traditional look — it does need periodic resealing.
United Series
The commercial system: code-compliant picketed guardrails, single or dual inner handrails, and standard or custom platforms. Rampit engineers this line to meet ADA, OSHA, IBC and local building requirements.
Empower Series — thresholds and portables
Rubber Threshold Ramps
100% recycled rubber, 1,000 lb capacity, made in America and Rampit-stated ADA compliant. Eight sizes covering 1/2 in. through 2 in. of rise, 41-1/2 to 45-3/4 in. wide. Trimmable in height, width and corners — indoor or outdoor, no installation.
Aluminum Threshold Ramps
Low-profile aluminum plates for door thresholds up to 2 in., in several sizes and styles. The choice when a rubber mat is too soft or too thick for the door to clear.
Bi-Folding Aluminum Ramps
2 through 7 ft, 29 in. wide, folding to 15 in. for transport. Extruded anti-slip tread and a built-in adapter so no installation is needed. For a step or two, or loading a vehicle.
Curb & Butt Ramps
Semi-portable aluminum, 2 to 10 ft long and 28 to 48 in. wide, configured with a curb or with legs. Two-inch wheel guards and a self-adjusting transition plate standard; handrails optional.
Accessories & add-ons
Top-Mount Handrails
Mount onto an existing ramp, set of steps or landing without replacing what is already there. The fix when the structure is sound but there is nothing to hold onto.
Modular Steps
Aluminum steps that pair with a Rampit platform or stand alone, built to a custom height and width.
Safety Gates
Gates that attach to a Rampit system or work independently — for a landing at the top of a run, or a porch that needs to be closed off.
Hurricane Tie-Downs
Anchoring hardware for high-wind exposure. Not typically required in Kansas, but available where a jurisdiction or an exposed site calls for it.

Contractors
Working on the home? Rampit builds each system to the site, so the drawings come from the factory with your order rather than from a public library. These are the references your trades can start from — and our licensed elevator mechanics are one call away at (316) 361-6220.
Planning & Sizing
What the general contractor needs to lay out the run and the landing.
Components & Replacement Parts
Individual parts for repairs, extensions and modifications to an existing Rampit system.
Code & Commercial
For projects that need an inspector’s sign-off.
Optional upgrades
Ways to make the ramp fit your home and your routine even better. We price any of these into your written quote — just ask.
Optional upgradePicketed Handrails
Bolt-on picketed handrails close the gap between the rails so a wheel, a cane tip or a pet cannot get through the side. Rampit builds these to the BOCA picket standard, and they arrive preassembled.
Optional upgradeWood Decking & Handrails (Integrity Series)
The same aluminum frame, decked in pressure-treated wood with a pre-sealed slip-resistant coating and real wood handrails in three styles. It looks like part of the house — and it needs resealing every few years.
Optional upgradeCustom Platform Sizes
Standard platforms cover most entries, but a platform can be built to a custom footprint when a door swing, a storm door, a post or a tight landing demands it.
Optional upgradeModular Steps
Aluminum steps built to a custom height and width, either paired with your ramp platform or standing on their own for an ambulatory family member who prefers steps.
Optional upgradeSafety Gates
A gate at the top or bottom of the run — useful with small children, a pet, or a landing that opens onto a driveway.
Optional upgradeTop-Mount Handrails
Handrails mounted onto an existing ramp, steps or landing without tearing out what is already there.
Optional upgradeHurricane Tie-Downs
Anchoring hardware for high-wind exposure. Rarely required here, but available where a jurisdiction or an especially exposed site calls for it.
You’re covered twice
Manufacturer warranty
Rampit USA states a lifetime manufacturer’s warranty on all aluminum components of its residential ramps, and a lifetime manufacturer’s warranty on the rubber threshold ramps. Rampit does not publish the full written terms — exclusions, transferability and the claim procedure are not posted on their site, and no separate duration is published for the United Series, the wood decking on the Integrity Series, or the bi-folding and curb ramps. We request the written warranty from the factory for your exact configuration and include it with your quote, so you are signing against a document rather than a claim on a web page.
Our workmanship warranty
Every installation also carries our 6-month workmanship warranty, on top of the manufacturer’s warranty. If our installation needs an adjustment, we come back and make it right at no cost to you. We ask clients to allow five to ten business days for a return trip, though it is often much sooner. The warranty covers our workmanship; it does not cover acts of God, user error, or misuse of the equipment.
Is a Rampit USA ramp right for your home?
The only way to know is a free in-home assessment. We measure your rise, check the landing and the door swing, and give you a straight answer with a written quote — no pressure.
