Residential Home Elevators
AmeriGlide Elite Plus Residential Elevator
The AmeriGlide Elite Plus is a 1:2 roped hydraulic home elevator for indoor use, built on fully extruded aluminum modular rails for a smooth ride and a faster installation. It carries 1,000 pounds and travels up to 40 feet across as many as 4 landings, and its modern cab comes standard with brushed aluminum trim, a clear acrylic gate, LED lighting, and removable panels you can redesign later.

The heart of the Elite Plus is its 1:2 roped hydraulic drive running on fully extruded aluminum rails in lightweight modular sections. The hydraulic pump sits submersed to keep the ride quiet, and a commercial-rated digital variable speed valve keeps every start and stop gentle at 40 feet per minute. The standard 36″ x 48″ cab carries 1,000 pounds, and where local code permits it can be configured from 750 up to 1,400 pounds — enough for most power wheelchairs. It needs only a 12-inch pit and runs on 220-volt single-phase power. Safety is built to a commercial standard: dual ropes, commercial-level mechanical brakes, emergency stops on the pit and car top, a fire-rated cab and doors, and emergency lighting with DC backup lowering if the power goes out.
Home Accessibility Solutions is a family-owned company, and our installers are licensed elevator mechanics with factory training — not subcontractors. The same people who measure your home at the free consultation are the ones who install your Elite Plus and service it for years afterward. If you’re weighing a hydraulic home elevator, ask us how the Elite Plus compares with the other shafted elevators we install — we’ll give you a straight answer about which fits your home, your build, and your budget.
Model overview
Why choose the AmeriGlide Elite Plus Home Elevator
The AmeriGlide Elite Plus is a hydraulic residential elevator built for indoor use, with a 1,000-pound capacity and travel up to 40 feet across as many as 4 landings. What sets it apart is its 1:2 roped hydraulic drive paired with fully extruded aluminum rails in lightweight modular sections. That combination gives you a smooth, quiet ride — the hydraulic pump is submersed to keep noise down — and it speeds up installation, too.
You have real choices with this model. The standard cab is 36 by 48 inches with an 84-inch ceiling, and roomier 42 by 42 or 42 by 48 cabs are available. Capacity can be configured from 750 up to 1,400 pounds where local codes permit. You can pick from ten wood-veneer finishes, glass and acrylic looks, custom gate styles, sliding or automatic doors, and a push-button panel instead of the touch screen. It needs only a 12-inch pit.
Smooth, quiet hydraulic drive
The Elite Plus uses a 1:2 roped hydraulic drive — a proven system known for a smooth, gentle ride. The hydraulic pump sits submersed, which keeps the elevator very quiet as it moves. A commercial-rated digital variable speed valve controls the ride speed. It travels at 40 feet per minute, a comfortable pace for everyday use at home. See it on the manufacturer’s site →
Safety built in at every level
This elevator carries safety features you would expect in a commercial building. It has dual ropes and commercial-level mechanical brakes, plus emergency stops on both the pit and the car top. The cab and doors are fire-rated. If the power goes out, emergency lighting comes on and a DC backup can lower the cab safely. An emergency stop alarm is included as well.
A cab that matches your home
The modern cab comes standard with brushed aluminum trim, a clear acrylic gate, solid stainless steel handrails, and two recessed LED ceiling lights. The cab panels are removable, so you can change the look later without replacing the elevator. Optional upgrades include ten wood-veneer finishes, glass and acrylic looks, custom gate styles, and two extra ceiling lights for an even brighter ride.
Designed to fit and install easily
The rails are fully extruded aluminum in lightweight modular sections, which makes for a faster installation and a smooth ride. The elevator needs just a 12-inch pit. The standard 84-inch cab requires 96 or 108 inches of overhead clearance, depending on the doors you choose. It runs on 220 VAC single-phase power — details our team confirms at your free in-home assessment.
Room to grow with the HD program
Most homes are well served by the standard setup, but the Elite Plus HD ultra-custom program goes further where local codes permit. It offers glass cabs, a taller 96-inch cab height, and a heavier-duty 1,400-pound capacity. Capacity can also be configured at 750, 950, or 1,000 pounds, so the elevator can be matched to your household’s needs — including power wheelchairs.
Two warranties on every install
Every Elite Plus we install is covered twice. AmeriGlide’s limited warranty to the original purchaser covers batteries for 30 days and component parts — including circuit boards and the drive train — for 2 years; labor is not covered, and because AmeriGlide’s own documents describe parts coverage differently in places, exact terms should be confirmed with AmeriGlide. On top of that, our 6-month workmanship warranty means if our work was not done right, we come back and fix it at no cost to you — acts of God, user error, and misuse of the machine are excluded.

AmeriGlide limited warranty to the original purchaser, non-transferable: 30 days for batteries; 2 years for component parts including circuit boards; 2 years for the drive train (motor and gear box), gear rack, pinion gear. Repair/replace with new or reconditioned parts (or replace with a new product) at AmeriGlide’s option; purchaser pays shipping both ways on returns; aftermarket additions/modifications are not warranted; labor costs are NOT covered; valid only in the 50 US states and Canada. NOTE: the manufacturer brochure (rev 11/01/24, p.4) instead states “12 month limited warranty on parts from the date of purchase” – confirm actual coverage with AmeriGlide.
Our workmanship warranty
Every installation also carries our 6-month workmanship warranty, on top of the manufacturer’s warranty. If our installation needs an adjustment, we come back and make it right at no cost to you. We ask clients to allow five to ten business days for a return trip, though it is often much sooner. The warranty covers our workmanship; it does not cover acts of God, user error, or misuse of the equipment.
