Elevating Lives & Building Futures

Residential Elevators: The Luxury Home Elevator, Handcrafted in America

Residential Elevators was founded in 1996 when Bobby Boeneke and his business partner bought a small home-elevator company in north Florida with a single goal: to build the finest home elevators in the industry. They did exactly that — hiring the best elevator talent and craftsmen and engineering their lifts with the same research and technology used in commercial high-rise elevators.

Today, Residential Elevators is the nation’s leader in home elevators — family-owned, with two American manufacturing plants and a guiding adage that still drives every decision: “do the right thing.” As an authorized partner, our Wichita crew brings that gold-standard product to homes across Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Missouri.

Every Residential Elevators cab is hand-built by American craftsmen.
Designed, built & supported in the U.S.A. — Tallahassee, Florida.
The biggest, most capable home elevator the code allows.Residential Elevators offers an industry-leading capacity of up to 950 lbs and 15 sq ft of usable space — the largest size and capacity permitted by national code — built to the same standards as commercial elevators. And while many competitors plan for a 10-year life, REI elevators are engineered and supported for 30 to 40 years.

Handcrafted Cabs, Built Around You

Every cab is a piece of custom cabinetry. They’re built from seven-ply, cabinet-grade plywood — never particle board — with all-hardwood trim, a factory lacquer finish, and custom stains. From rich mahogany and crisp Shaker lines to stainless steel and wood-and-glass designs, you can truly design your own elevator to match your home.

Design Your Own Elevator: Endless Options

No two Residential Elevators are alike. Start with the drive system that fits your home, then make it yours with custom cab styles, hardwoods, fixtures, gates, lighting, and flooring.

1. Choose Your Elevator Type

Traction

Cuts out the machine room to save valuable living space while adding to your home’s value.

Hydraulic

The smooth, fast ride you’d expect in a large commercial building.

Pitless (The Level)

No concrete pit to cut — perfect for remodels and existing homes.

2. Cab Styles, Woods & Finishes

Every cab is custom cabinetry — seven-ply hardwood (never particle board) with all-hardwood trim, a factory lacquer finish, and custom stains. Choose raised-panel, flat-panel, or Shaker designs in oak, maple, cherry, or mahogany — or go modern with glass and stainless. (See a few of our cab styles above.)

The Residential Elevators Cab Collection

Choose from a full collection of cab styles, each available in your choice of wood, finish, and trim:

Elegant framed paneling with a refined, softly rounded trim for a high-end finished look.

Stainless & Glass

Sleek and modern — flat brushed stainless or raised stainless panels (mix finishes like black and rose gold), with tempered laminated safety-glass options.

White Laminate

A bright, low-maintenance, budget-friendly finish.

Wood species: Maple, Alder, Oak, White Oak, Cherry, Sapele, and Walnut — prefinished, unfinished, or your choice of stain/lacquer.

Doors & gates: EON stainless and glass sliding doors, plus The Curve, Millennium, and Accordion gates — finished with brushed-stainless handrails and matching fixtures.

3. Fixtures & Car Operating Panels (COPs)

Your control panel is a design feature in its own right:

  • Glass Digital Touchscreen — the premium choice. Pick custom background images, set access codes to lock out any floor, adjust the door-lock and cab-light timers, with an integrated phone and a bright screen that’s readable in any lighting.
  • Flush-mount Digital Touchscreen — sleek, wall-flush operation with access codes and easy-to-read alerts.
  • Flush- or Surface-mount Push Buttons — classic tactile control with customizable floor labels (Attic, Penthouse, Roof, Ground, Basement).
  • Matching Hall Stations at every landing, with call indicators and door/gate alerts.

Fixtures are available in Brushed Stainless, Mirrored Stainless, Brushed Bronze (Gold), Mirrored Bronze, Antique Bronze, and Matte Black — so they coordinate beautifully with your cab.

4. Grab Bars, Gates, Lighting & Flooring

  • Grab bars & handrails in finishes that match your fixtures — safety that looks intentional.
  • Gates & doors — manual swing doors and accordion-style gates to suit your cab and opening.
  • Recessed LED lighting for a warm, even glow.
  • Flooring of your choice to coordinate with the rest of your home.
