Staying Home Corporation builds every elevator at its facility in Harrisonville, Missouri, and each unit is designed, tested and assembled in the U.S.A. to meet ASME A17.1 / CSA B44 residential elevator standards. Behind every install is a U.S.-based team of factory service technicians — people our crew can reach anytime we need them — so your elevator is supported for the long haul.
The only home elevator that is completely battery powered
This is the one home elevator that virtually eliminates worry about power outages. The unit runs on its own batteries in both directions, kept topped off by a constant low-voltage trickle-charge system. If the power goes out, you can still ride — up to roughly 30 trips on a fresh set of batteries — so you are never stranded between floors.
No special wiring, no machine room, no pit and no dedicated outlet: the elevator runs off standard 110V household current at just 2 amps, and routine maintenance is as simple as replacing the batteries every 2–3 years.
Shafted vs. Shaftless — which is right for your home?
Shaftless (EZ3 & EZ4)
A through-the-floor elevator that needs no hoistway. Because there is no shaft, these models use simple continuous-pressure controls — you hold the button and the car moves. The guide rails fasten to a wall (we modify the wall and add wood backing to carry the rails), or we can provide a free-standing unit when securing to a wall isn’t ideal.
Shafted (EZ5 & EZ6)
Installed inside a hoistway enclosure, these models give you true “push-and-go” automatic operation — press the button once and the elevator travels to the floor on its own, just like a commercial elevator. The EZ6 is our largest cab with the highest capacity.
