Home Elevators & Lifts for Lake of the Ozarks Homes
Lake houses are built for the view, and that usually means a lot of steps. The garage sits at one level, the living space at another, and the dock is somewhere down the hill. Home Accessibility Solutions helps families at the Lake of the Ozarks get from the car to the kitchen to the water without wearing out their knees. We’re a family-owned company founded in 2017 by a licensed elevator mechanic. Our main office is in Wichita, Kansas, and our Missouri location is in Climax Springs.

Outdoor Elevators
The Staying Home Outlook outdoor elevator is built with lake and stilt homes in mind. With a 500-pound capacity and up to 21 feet of travel, it can take you from ground level up to a deck or main floor without a single step. It’s a smart fit when there’s no good spot for an elevator inside the house.
Glass Elevators That Keep the View
You bought a lake home to look at the lake. A glass elevator lets you keep looking while you ride. The Savaria Vuelift Mini has a 50-inch footprint and needs only a 3-inch pit and 96 inches of overhead. The Vuelift Round and Vuelift Octagonal make a real centerpiece. We also install the Inclinator Elevette Glass and REI Vision.
Home Elevators for Multi-Level Lake Houses
If your lake house has three or four levels, a full home elevator ties them all together. The Savaria Eclipse can serve up to five or six stops. For a smaller footprint with no shaft or pit, a Stiltz Trio Alta is wheelchair accessible and reaches up to three floors on a dedicated 220-volt outlet.
Outdoor Stair Lifts and Porch Lifts
Outdoor Stair Lifts
For the exterior steps between the house and the lower yard, an outdoor stair lift gives you a seat and a smooth ride. Inside the house, a chair lift for stairs attaches to the stair treads, which means no wall work and no remodel.
Porch & Wheelchair Lifts
On a sloped lot, a long ramp can eat up the whole yard. A vertical platform lift raises a wheelchair or scooter to the porch or up from the garage level using a small, square footprint instead.
Built Into the Hill: Why Lake Homes Need a Different Plan
Many lake homes are set into a hillside. You might pull into a garage at the bottom, then climb a full flight or two to reach the main living area. Getting down to the dock can mean another long run of outdoor steps. That layout is beautiful on a summer evening and hard on anyone with bad knees, a cane or a wheelchair. About 1 in 4 adults age 65 and older falls each year (CDC), and those steps are where a lot of trouble starts. The good news: there’s a lift for nearly every part of that climb, inside and out.

Lake Home Questions
Can an elevator get us from the house down toward the dock?
Often, yes, but it depends on your slope. The Staying Home Outlook travels up to 21 feet, and an outdoor stair lift is another option for exterior steps. We’ll look at the drop and show you what will work.
Will a glass elevator need a deep pit in our foundation?
Not necessarily. The Savaria Vuelift Mini needs only a 3-inch pit and 96 inches of overhead, which makes it easier to fit into an existing home.
What if the lake house is our weekend place?
We can still help. Whether the lake house is your full-time home or where the family gathers in summer, we’ll plan the consultation and install around your schedule.
Do you have someone in Missouri?
Yes. Our Missouri location is in Climax Springs, and the same call to (316) 361-6220 reaches our whole team.
Make Every Level of the Lake House Yours Again. Stairs shouldn’t keep anyone off the deck or away from the water. Schedule your free in-home consultation.
